Dr. Javed Bari is a distinguished Professor of Civil and Transportation Engineering at North South University (NSU), Bangladesh, and an Adjunct Professor of Arizona State University, USA, with over 33 years of experience in academia, research, professional practice, and academic leadership. Since joining NSU in 2013, he has played a central role in strengthening engineering education and research, serving as Chair of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (March 2015–June 2017) and as Dean of the School of Engineering and Physical Sciences (March 2019–March 2024). Professor Javed Bari’s research interests include road safety and crash data analytics, pavement design and performance modeling, recycling of roadway materials, traffic survey and analysis methods, highway materials characterization, and comprehensive socio-economic, environmental, and engineering evaluation of large-scale infrastructure projects. With strong academic leadership, international professional experience, and sustained engagement in research and development practice, Professor Dr. Javed Bari continues to contribute actively to the advancement of engineering education, research excellence, and infrastructure development in USA, Bangladesh and beyond.
