Dr. Elie Y. Hajj is a globally recognized leader in pavement engineering, currently serving as a Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Associate Director of the Western Regional Superpave Center (WRSC) at the University of Nevada, Reno. With over 21 years of experience in academia and industry, Dr. Hajj is known for his ability to lead high-impact research and successfully implement innovative pavement technologies into practice.Dr. Hajj is currently Chair of the International Society for Asphalt Pavements (ISAP) for the 2025–2027 term, following his service as Vice Chair from 2023–2025.He currently serves as an Associate Editor for the International Journal of Pavement Engineering (IJPE) and is an active member of several prestigious professional societies, including the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), the Association of Asphalt Paving Technologists (AAPT), ISAP, and APSE. His expertise has been sought by national and international grant agencies, including the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) and New Zealand’s Ministry of Science and Innovation, where he has served as a grant reviewer and NSF site visit panelist.
