About me
Dr. Abu-Odeh has over 25 years of experience in analyzing, designing and testing structures under impact loads with emphasis on roadside safety hardware and protective structures. Dr. Abu-Odeh has extensive experience and intimate knowledge in using large scale nonlinear finite elements for analyzing structures under impact. He has served as principal investigator or co-principle investigator on numerous studies sponsored by federal, states, private and international entities. Dr. Abu-Odeh has witnessed nearly 1,000 live crash tests from motorcycles to 80,000 lb tractor trailers and from cable systems to high containment bridge rail systems. He has been actively participating in several TRB and IRF Global committees and meetings.
